Hi, I’m Heather.

The Home Project Companion grew from a simple belief: creating a home you love should not feel overwhelming, out of reach or something you have to figure out alone.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved paper, fabric, pattern and colour. I’m fascinated by how a beautiful wallpaper, a treasured piece of furniture or a fabric that makes your heart sing can completely change how a room feels.

I help my clients create homes that are as practical as they are personal: spaces filled with character, meaningful details and the things that make everyday life feel that little bit more special.

We all want our homes to feel welcoming, comfortable and genuinely our own. But when life is busy, turning ideas into reality can feel overwhelming.

Two different styles, one shared home

A new home but with no time to make it their own. Young children, demanding jobs and very little spare time, one family needed help creating their dream home.

Carefully chosen wallpaper, confident colour and practical panelling gave each child a room full of personality—without leaving the parents to manage every decision on their own.

The result: Childhood bedrooms they will remember forever.

One loved the warmth and character of English heritage interiors. The other was drawn to a calmer Scandinavian aesthetic.

By combining botanical pattern, natural materials, thoughtful furniture choices and a balanced colour palette, we created a design direction that reflected both personalities and brought the whole space together.

Once his wife’s domain, this garden needed reimagining as a contemporary, low-maintenance space suited to a new way of living.

Working alongside Jo at Plan Ahead Gardens, we created a welcoming, practical garden and took the stress out of bringing it to life.

Project managing the whole process and ensuring every element was pulled together.

The result: A garden to enjoy, without the overwhelming upkeep.

My own home is where my love of colour, pattern and meaningful pieces comes together.

In the living room, my Linwood Omega velvet curtains bring richness, texture and personality. In the bedroom, Designers Guild peony curtains create an entirely different mood.

Throughout the house, expressive wallpaper sits alongside up-cycled furniture, artwork and pieces collected over time.

What connects them is not a single fixed style. It is the feeling that every room has evolved around the people living in it and the things they love.

That is the same approach I bring to my clients’ homes. I am not interested in imposing my taste on your space; I want to help you create something that feels unmistakably yours.
