Our garden had potential, but it was so plain that no one ever went out there—there was nothing to draw us outside. I wanted a garden where we could socialise, relax, and feel like we’d stepped into an exotic holiday—a space that felt like an extension of the home, inviting and alive.
With Heather’s guidance and in collaboration with the wonderful Jo @ Plan Ahead Gardens, we planned, planted, and styled the space together. From selecting lush, vibrant plants to arranging furniture for comfort and conversation, every choice was thoughtful—and every step a learning experience.
Now, the garden feels like a whole new room of the house. It’s a place where we spend hours together, enjoying, unwinding, and soaking up the beauty we helped create.
My husband had passed away a few years back and I decided to re-landscape my garden. But after the garden designer and the landscape gardeners had left, I ran out of steam. It was half finished and what should have been the enjoyable planting and finishing became overwhelming.
So I called in Heather and together, we broke things down into manageable steps, celebrated small victories, and found the motivation to keep moving. What once felt overwhelming became achievable—and even enjoyable.
